Day 117 – It’s Pub Politics Tuesday again. Earlier today we taped a pretty awesome segment for WACH FOX. As you can see, I went after the Governor’s staff a good bit.
Again, not going to talk too much politics on this blog, but this isn’t just a political lesson, its a life lesson. In complimenting my great Donehue Direct team, I’ve told you before that you succeed when you surround yourself with awesome people.
Governor Haley did that on her campaign and they did a good job. Then she took those campaign people and assumed they could lead our state. Guess what? They can’t. They have no clue what they’re doing. Governor Haley needs to let campaign staff be campaign staff and surround herself with adults who can implement the great ideas she has. Governor Haley has all the talent, personality and ideas that can lead our state forward. Now she just needs an adult to lead her operation.
Speaking of her staff, today I had to sit through hours of testimony during a SC Senate Medical Affairs committee hearing. Watch the video above to understand the DHEC/port issue.
Luckily I was greeted at the Senate with a fantastic homemade coconut birthday cake. Kaye Hilliard, Senator Peeler’s executive assistant, made it for me. No, it was not paid for at taxpayer expense. I’m not Tim Pearson.
Oh yeah, tomorrow is my birthday! I’ll be 32.
