Day 7 – Part 2 – Saturday was just too busy to put into one post. Now its time for you to meet Katie, Mimi and Daddy Bill’s westie.
Yesterday I was tasked with taking Katie to the vet and today I got stuck with giving her a flea bath. She’s staying with us for the rest of the week and there is a chance she becomes the newest member of the Donehue clan. We’ll see how that goes.
Taking advantage of the tax-free weekend in South Carolina, I headed down to the Apple store to purchase two new iMacs for the new Donehue Direct staffers. It was slammed packed, showing what would happen if every business got Amazon’s tax break (ok, no more politics on this blog. Sorry about that).
At least they were smart enough to give us some smart water while we waited in the long line. Get it? Smart enough to give us smart water =)
After a trip to Sesame and Coast Brewery, we headed back home for a cookout at Caroline and Matt Nichols’ home where we ate some of the wild pig we slaughtered a few months back…
It just happened to be Justin Lee’s birthday….
Which leads to the point of this post. Justin’s new tattoo…
First off, let’s just say that this is an awesome tat. The duck with the palmetto tree is truly Justin. I’ve wanted to get a tattoo for years, but I can’t figure out something that just screams “Wesley!” At the moment, I’m seriously considering getting a tattoo of the original starship Enterprise. No, I’m not kidding.
Since launching this blog a few days ago, I’m getting a ton of feedback and it seems like a lot of ladies are reading. So ladies, this is for you. If you can’t figure out what to get your man for his birthday, follow Heather’s lead and get your man a tattoo. Okay, maybe your man isn’t the tattoo type, but at least be creative like Heather.
Heather, Justin’s girlfriend, is one seriously cool chick for getting him a tattoo from Devine Street Tattoo. From what Justin tells me, the tattoo artists there are amazing. I don’t think this iPhone picture does Justin’s tattoo justice. The detail on the palmetto tree is the best I’ve seen…and I’ve seen a ton of palmetto tree tattoos.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN!!
Some of the crew from last night…
